Join us at The Norfolk Hub for a community conversation on the healthcare landscape in the Northwest Corner with Joanne Borduas, CEO of Community Health & Wellness Center. This important discussion will explore healthcare access in the region and the potential impacts of impending federal funding and Medicaid cuts on local communities. Learn more about the services CHWC provides and how changes in funding could affect primary care, emergency departments, School-Based Health Centers, and transportation services for seniors and disabled residents throughout the Northwest Corner.
Paint & Sip w/Turi Rostad
Join us for a fun and relaxing Paint & Sip at The Norfolk Hub on May 22, from 5–7 PM! A local artist will guide you step-by-step as you create your own painting, with all supplies included. CPR Training
Join us at The Norfolk Hub for CPR training with Toni Sterling from Greenwoods Counseling & Referrals. This class is open to new participants and those renewing their American Heart Association certification. Learn Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED use, Basic Life Support, and how to respond to emergencies.
The training will take place on Thursday, May 7 at 5 PM at The Norfolk Hub. The cost is $20 per person, payable in cash during the course. Space is limited to 9 participants, so please register in advance to reserve your spot.
Erika Crofut Artist Reception
Join us for Berkshire based artist & teacher Erika Crofut’s Artist Reception on Sunday, May 3, from 3-5 PM with a special Artist Talk at 3:30. Erika works in a range of mediums including: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Ceramics and Sculpture. Her work is functional, narrative, and whimsical. She is particularly interested in connections across time and generations. Light refreshments will be served.
GMF Summer Wildlife Talk with Ginny Apple - The Elusive Fisher
This engaging event with Ginny Apple, a Master Wildlife Conservationist with the CT DEEP, explores the fascinating and often misunderstood fisher.
Through stories and images Ginny reveals the secret life of this remarkable forest predator: what it eats, how it behaves, and how populations have rebounded across Connecticut. You’ll also learn about the fisher’s history in the region and the conservation efforts that have helped restore this elusive animal to our forests. Ginny will share visuals to bring the fisher’s world to life.

Babs Perkins Closing Reception and Suminagashi Demonstration
Join us on Sunday, April 26, from 3 PM to 5 PM for the closing reception of Babs Perkins’ art show, Topographic Relief. She will be giving a special demonstration of the ancient Japanese art form Suminagashi—“floating ink.”

Learn about the benefits, and simple method of making the aerated tea in a 5-gallon bucket.
We will take a look at the diverse microbial communities within compost tea, and learn why they are important for growing nutrient dense food WITHOUT chemicals.

Learn the basics of watercolor with a limited palette and various techniques. Values, color and form will be emphasized. Demonstrations and individual instruction will be given. For all levels, beginners are welcome.

Margery is a long‑time naturalist and instructor at Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton. She manages the Center’s native plant gardens and advocates for the use of native species in designed landscapes.

Artist Reception: Babs Perkins
Join us for a special reception for Norfolk artist Babs Perkins recent work in the ancient Japanese art form suminagashi “black ink floating”. Dating back over 1000 years suminagashi is a meditative marbling technique in which ink is gently floated on water and transferred onto paper creating intricate organic patterns that are both spontaneous and serene. Meet the artist and experience the delicate beauty of this traditional art form up close. Light refreshments will be served.
Chocolate Dessert Bake-Off
The Norfolk Hub invites you to a deliciously fun Chocolate Dessert Bake-Off on Thursday, February 12 at 5:00 PM! Bakers of all ages and experience levels are welcome to share their favorite chocolate creations in a friendly, community-focused event.
Participants can bring any chocolate dessert—baked or no-bake, vegan or gluten-free. We recommend bringing two batches (about 12 servings each): one to share with all attendees and one to swap with other bakers. Everyone gets to taste the entries and vote for the Best Chocolate Dessert!

Artist Reception: Jeremiah Bickford
Join us on Sunday, January 11, from 3-5 PM for Norfolk resident Jeremiah Bickford’s Artist Reception. His large scale works in watercolors are inspired by both serene landscapes and stark industrial complexes. Jeremiah explores art as a way to support community resources and nonprofit organizations. Light refreshments will be served. The show will be available for viewing during regular Hub hours through February.

Aimed at elementary-aged youth, this evidence based program takes an upstream approach to teaching youth about positive coping strategies, stress management, and resilience.
Participants will learn : Key concepts in mental health and strategies to maintain their well-being, how to identify a trusted adult and ask for support, where trusted adults can find additional mental health resource.

Downtown Norfolk Holiday Stroll
Join us beginning at 5 PM as downtown Norfolk comes alive for a festive evening! Shops will stay open until 8 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore, shop, and enjoy the holiday spirit.
Stroll through town to visit local shops and holiday pop-ups at Robertson Plaza, warm up with treats from the Icebox Café and Berkshire Country Store, and don’t miss the Historical Society’s bake sale.
Several participating businesses will donate 10% of retail sale proceeds to support the Norfolk Food Pantry.

Learn how to build a stunning, Thanksgiving-themed charcuterie board that’s both beautiful and delicious. No experience needed — our instructor will walk you through each step, showing you how to make your food look fun, festive, and ready to impress your guests. You’ll leave with your own completed charcuterie board — designed to last through Thanksgiving — plus plenty of tips and tricks to make your food look fun and creative!

Norfolk Conservation Commission - Larry Weaner's Talk
The Norfolk Conservation Commission presents a screening of Larry Weaner's talk - At Home With Nature: Beauty, Ecology, and Experience.
Even on the smallest residential property, sharing garden decisions with nature changes everything. In this eye opening presentation, Larry will illustrate how an ecology-based, brains-over-brawn approach to home landscaping can reduce management needs, increase desirable wildlife habitat, and enhance the visual and intellectual experience of being in your yard.
Artist Reception: Sam Guindon
Join us on Sunday, November 2, from 3-5 PM for the opening of Norfolk Artist Sam Guindon's show titled "Observations". Light refreshments will be served. A few words from Sam about his work: "Image making for me functions as a keyhole through which I can investigate everything I find fascinating in my day to day experience. I paint mainly from life, and I aim to capture how things feel to me. This is often quite different from copying what I’m seeing. Work created this way also incorporates feelings, memories and ideas." The show will be on display during regular Hub hours until 12/29.
