This weeks highlights include: Norfolk Celebrates America 250, a community-wide evening commemorating America's 250th Anniversary. Festivities include a Community Parade, a Special Bell Ringing Ceremony, a Pie Baking Contest, blacksmith demonstrations by Brian the Bladesmith, chair caning demonstrations by Susannah Anderson, glass blowing by Greenwood Glass, a patriotic photo station, dunk tank, touch-a-truck, colonial games, family activities, and an open house hosted by the Norfolk Historical Society.
Food will be available while supplies last from Barnstormer's Burgers Food Truck and Peter Doda's Ice Cream Truck. A limited number of food and ice cream tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person may receive one food ticket and one ice cream ticket while supplies last. Tickets can be picked up at The Norfolk Hub information table during the event.
