Join us on Sunday, November 2, from 3-5 PM for the opening of Norfolk Artist Sam Guindon's show titled "Observations". Light refreshments will be served.
A few words from Sam about his work: "Image making for me functions as a keyhole through which I can investigate everything I find fascinating in my day to day experience. I paint mainly from life, and I aim to capture how things feel to me. This is often quite different from copying what I’m seeing. Work created this way also incorporates feelings, memories and ideas. I often layer colors and brushwork in a way that mimics the way the eye glances, flits, and reconstructs the visual field, not as a camera would, but as a body embedded in time and space.” The show will be on display during regular Hub hours until 12/29.
